Dinner in the Park

Day 24 - Prague, Czech Republic:

This morning I walked to Vysehrad Castle. It was very peaceful and quiet - way less touristy. There was a beautiful gothic cathedral and a big graveyard with the most intricate headstones. I did a walk along the castle walls. Great views from up there.

Then I headed back to Old Town and wandered. I checked out their big mall, but got out of there quite quickly. There was a cute wine and cheese festival right outside the doors of the mall. I checked it out but just tried the free samples (life of a cheap backpacker). I met up with the group then and we walked to Wenceslas Square and sat on a patio and had a snack and all wrote in our journals. It was a relaxing afternoon.

On the way back to the hotel we stopped and got a basket of mixed berries from the market for dinner. Then we went to the other market and picked up some bread, olives, cheese, chocolate, and wine.
A few of us went down by the river to the beer garden and sat along the river wall taking in the evening sun. Then we moved to the little island park with all of our dinner goodies and sat along the wall in there and had the best and most enjoyable dinner of the trip so far. Life is good!

At 8:30 pm we left to the train station and began our overnight journey to the Tatras Mountain region of Slovakia!
