This morning i arrived in Prague via overnight train at 7:30 am. Having had to have checked out of the hotel yesterday at noon and then walking around in the heat for the rest of the day before getting on the overnight train, I was a disgusting sweaty mess. The rooms at the new hotel weren't ready upon arrival so that meant another day of walking around in the same clothes in the same sweaty heat. Not meeting any cute boys in Prague, that's for sure!
The hotel is right along the river and right next to the "dancing house", a recognizable building here in Prague. I walked across the river to the John Lennon graffiti wall, which was really cool. There was a busker singing Bestles songs next to it. From there I went past the creepy faceless crawling baby statues by David Cerny and onto the Charles Bridge. Prague is such a beautiful city and it's buildings all so appealing.
Making my way to Old Town I watched the little puppet show that pops out of the Astronomical Clock at the square on the hour. It's been doing this for hundreds of years. Then I explored the many pathways and enjoyed a ham and cheese crepe for lunch, along with a local beer that starts with an 'as' that I can't remember.
Then it was way too hot to be outside and I was beginning to get heat rash so I decided it's probably about time to finally go and have a shower and get some laundry done!
