My alarm went off at 8:20 and I turned it off and rolled over and went back to bed. When I got up I had yogurt with muesli and banana in bed with a cheese pastry. The others went off for the day exploring the island, and Katherine and I decided to hang out in town. I had a quick shower and then we watched some New Girl in bed.
Later in the afternoon I went for a good 2-hour walk along the sea and then found a spot in the sun to do some journaling. The beaches were full and everyone was getting their party on already. That's a weekend in Hvar for you! Quite the party place.
At 7 whoever wanted to go for dinner met at the cathedral by my apartment. We ended up going to the restaurant I went for lunch at the other day, and I even ordered the same thing because it was so tasty - spaghetti bolognese. The pasta is so good here since we're not too far from Italy. The Argentina vs. Belgium game was playing while we ate so that was entertaining.
After dinner we strolled along the main strip and stopped and admired all the insanely expensive and beautiful yachts. One was three stories and you could see inside. It was furnished beautifully and had quite a big crew working on board. We saw a family go onto it, but it wasn't anyone famous that I recognized - just really rich people.
There was an ice cream place near us so we all decided to get some ice cream. Turns out about 30 children had the same idea. The line was crazy. But we stuck it out and got our ice cream and stood by the water. It's a great people watching area so you can simply pass time just standing there.
Then it was off to bed! However, since it was a Saturday night, it was quite loud out with a lot of background music so sleeping didn't come as fast as I would've hoped. Oh well!
As it wasn't the most thrilling of days for photos, I'm posting more scenery shots:
